Dream Lakeside Log Mansion in the Quebec Forest

Offering

Full access to our very large, 4 bedroom scandinavian-style log-home, on the shores of a quiet lake in the forests of Québec, but only 2 hours from Montreal airport.

The house and its setting are sublime, but be aware that the house is not 100% completed, i.e. the kitchen is temporary, banisters are not properly finished (so no children allowed), the fireplace stone cladding is not yet installed.

Otherwise, it is fully functional and comfortable, has good wifi, and is only 10-15 mins drive from a supermarket.

You would also have access to our Nissan Pathfinder 4×4 for up to a month. Sorry for not having good photos of the other 3 bedrooms – one is as big as the one photographed, but with a California King bed, and its own balcony (master bedroom), and two others are half the size, both with queen beds, all fully finished (other than baseboards).

Seeking

Seeking accomodation, campervan or trailer-tent or similar, in New Zealand, from around Jan 25th to Feb. 20th 2027.

For future swaps, we could be interested in campervans or similar in (or with access to) Mexico and/or South America

Experience

Experienced explore and campervanner.

I have driven a VW Westphalia campervan in Canada. I also have a great deal of experience driving with trailers, including going up and down my narrow and steep driveway in the woods. I have vast driving experience worldwide, have driven from Tbilisi to Toulouse, having driven Montreal-Vancouver-Montreal three times, having recently driven from London to Lviv, and for many years driven the chaotic roads of Manila. I learnt to drive 40 years ago in the UK, and have driven very frequently in the UK and in Australia, so driving on the left is not at all an issue.

Asset Location

St Damien, Quebec, Canada

Desired Location

1. New Zealand
2. South America
3. Mexico (perhaps starting with southern USA)

Timing

late Jan and Feb 2027 – New Zealand (first swap)

Limits

From end of Feb. 2027, we should be back in our house in Quebec, so from that point timing will have to be coordinated more carefully. Until then, the house is free (our neighbours look after the property.
